dated the 5th May 1917 published in Part I page 667 of the Calcutta Gazette 1917 the Elliott Prize for Scientific Research for 1934 will be awarded to the author of the best original essays giving the results of original research or investigation made by the candidate in Physics and pulished during the years 1930-33 inclusive. [...] In accordance with the notification cited above the Elliott Prize for Scientific Research for 1935 will be awarded to the author of the best original essays giving the results of original research or investigation ni by the candidate in Geology and Biology (including Pathology and Physiology) and published during the years 1931-34 inclusive. [...] The essays of competitors must be sent in so as to reach the President of the Asiatic Society of Bengal cio the General Secretary 1 Park Streets Calcutta by tie end of June of this year. [...] (b) Teachers of vernacular subjects who have passed the Middle Scholarship Examination or the terminal examintion at the end of the middle stage of instruction. [...] Every candidate will be required to produce at the time of the examination the certificate of his having passed the University or other examination.
