The Graduate scholarships for the year 1934 are awarded to the following students on the combined' results of the last B. A. and B. Sc. [...] 2. The following teachers are eligible for the examination :— (a) Teachers of English subjects who have passed (i) the Matriculation or some higher University Examination or (ii) the Middle English Scholarship Examination or the teminal examination at the end of the middle stage of instruction. [...] (b) Teachers of vernacular subjects who have passed the same examinations or the Middle Vernacular Scholarship Examination or the terminal examination at the end of the middle stage of instruction. [...] The examination in the case of these classes of teachers will be conducted either in English or vernacular at the option of the candidate. [...] In the notification dated the 8th August 1934 issued by the Principal Presidency College regarding the award of the Graduate Scholarships for the year 1934 attached to the Presidency College published in the Calcutta Gazette dated 30th August 1934 under the head One Ryan Scholarship of Rs.
