If in the opinion of such Magistrate or Court any of such documents are not unauthorised news-sheets or unauthorised newspapers such Magistrate or Court shall dispose of them in the manner provided in sections 523 524 and 525 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898. [...] If after such inquiry the Court is not of such opinion it shall dispose of the press in the manner provided in sections 523 524 and 525 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898. [...] D.-4332/30.—The following Statement is published for general in formation : — A Statement by His Excellency the Governor General of the reasons which have moved him in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 72 of the Government of India Act to make and promulgate an Ordinance to make provision for the control of unauthorised newsheets and newspapers under the title of the Unauthor [...] These publications are devoted without disguise to the promotion of sedition the dissemination of false and malicious news and the instigation of the public to the defiance of the law. [...] 2. The Ordinance will not affect in any way any press or newspaper which conforms to the provisions of the Press Ordinance and of the Press and Registration of Books Act 1867 nor does it impose on them any fresh restriction.
