2. The purchaser will be required to...deposit 25 per cent of the purchase money at the time of sale and where the remainder of the purchase money may not be paid within 15 days from the day of sale the money so deposited shall be liable to forfeiture. [...] 7. Purchasers having completed the payment of the purchase money will as soon :us the sale has been confirmed by the Chief Commissioner be placed in immediate possession and the village will be regitered in the name of the purchaser and a certificate of sale signed and sealed by the Deputy Commissioner will be granted to him. [...] 1 000 in cash or Government securities and enclosed in a cover superscribed with the wordse Tender for the exclusive privilege of selling toddy in the Bangalore District." 3. The tenders must be delivered at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Bangalore District -on or before noon on the 7th February 1881 when they will be opened in the presence of the applicants. [...] Such arrears shall if they remain unpaid after the lapse of theltionth in which they are payable be recoverable by attachment and sale of the property of the lessee in the manner prescribed by existing rules for the recovery of arrears of land revenue and it shall be at the discretion of the Deputy Commissioner with the Chief Commissioner's sanction to declare the lease cancelled and to rese [...] The usual licenses to retail vendors will be issued by the Deputy Commissioner and no altertion shall be made by the lessee in the locality or number of the retail shops now opened for sale of toddy without the express sanction of the Deputy Commissioner.
