To the north the State is bounded by the Sutlej and the towering highlands of the small State of Mangal ; on the east it adjoins the States of Dhami and Kunihar while those of Nalagarh and Bilaspur coplete its borders on the west. [...] The heat of the valleys favours the prevalence of Malaria in the summer and the cold of the mountains that of pneumonia in the winter. [...] It is fed along its confse by other strearulets descending from the hills the principal of which in Nalagarh are from east to west the Ballad the Pali the Khari the Khokra the Chikni and the Kundlu naddis and alto by the Kanahan naddi which rises in the Siwaliks and joins the Sirsa on its left bank in the vicinity of Palasi fort. [...] The eldest of these Jais Chand became according to tradtion the ruler of Theog the second the ruler of Madhan and the third the ruler of Ghund. [...] { PART A. on the east of Pabar containing the Raiengarh fort ; (2) the villages of Batar and Katasii west of the Pabar and north of the Shilanti khad and (3) the area of the present Thakurai.
