The southern edge of the area shown in Ball's map does not quite reach to the northern edge of the tract that of late years has been found to contain the numerous valuable deposits of iron-ore that are now forming the basis of the modern iron and steel industry of India. [...] The following account is intended to fulfil the part of a guide to the Geology of Manblifim rather than that of a complete description of the geological formations which occur in the district. [...] The oft-repeated ideas that the present boundary of the rocks on No trace of marine the east of the peninsula from the Chilka lake denudation. [...] It is said to have a temperature of 190° F. 1 and is decidedly sulphurous!' The third is on the north bank of the Damtida close to the village of Sheodptir and near the junction of the Ghee river with the Danniat. [...] The succession of the hill-formers is best seen in the neighbourhood of the Subarnarekhi where the peculiar characteinners.
