The motive for suicide was probably the conscious- ness On the part of Kartar Singh that he had had some hand in the abduc- tion and that revelation might foltex in the arrest of Jogendra Singh and Jit Kaur. [...] On the 9th, he was in the hospital at 6-15 so that the possibility is that he was admitted in the morning in the hospital. [...] IL is not as if it was a fancied thing: it has resulted in the capture of the abductor and the recovery of the girl at Kapurthala. [...] Shri Kamath: Has the investigation which has finally led to the arrest of the offender shown that this Kartar Singh had any hand in the commission of the offence at all? [...] I do not know much about the correctness of the official season report; but I did read the summary of the official season report referred to in the ques- tion.
