By the adaptation the Government of the Province was substituted for the Governor-General and now the Government of the State is substituted for the Government of a Province. [...] A number of States have become autonomotts and the prosecution of an individual is in the hands of the executive of the State as also the withdrawal of a case. [...] It need not and it can- not, because it is entirely within the powers of the State to regulate the work of the judiciary and that of the magistracy. [...] The other point which I would like to bring to the notice of the House is the e revision 'contained in clause 11, sub-c louse (2) of the Bill, which gives protEction to the Princes. [...] Article 362 runs as follows: "In the exercise of the power of Parliament or of the Legislature of a State to make laws or in the exercise of the executive power of the Union or of a' State, due regard shall be had to the guarantee oz assarance given under any such covenant or agreement as is re- ferred to in clause (1) of article 291 with respect to the personal rights, privileges and dignities of
