2. The Agenda of the Conference included— (1) a first discussion of the Age of Admission of Children to non-industrial occupations with a view to determining the heads of the questionnaire to be addressed to Governments (2) a final discussion on the hours of work in Coal Mines with a view to the adoption of a Draft Convention on the subject (3) a proposal for the partial revision of the Convent [...] The whole of the Italian Delegation addressed a letter to the President of the Conference on the 12th June requesting him to inform the Conference that the delegation would refrain from taking any part in the discussion on the Report of the Credentials Committee dealing with the objections submitted against the Italian. [...] A more critical discussion of the Report than usual had also been made possible this year as the result of the introduction of a new method of presentation : the section containing the Director's Review of the more urgent problems facing the Organisation and the outlook for the future was separated from the rest of the contents and published a fortnight before the commencement of the Conference. [...] The second part of the Director's Report which contains the summary of the Annual Reports submitted by the Governments of States Members on Ratified Conventions in accordance with Article 408 of the Treaty of Peace was published a few days after the commencement of the Conference and was as usual referred to the Committee on Article 408 for consideration."1981.] The Fifteenth International Labou [...] The Chairman in opening the work of the Committee observed that the considerations which bad led the League of Nations and the International Labour Office to take up the question of hours of work in coal mines had become all the more urgent since last year's discussions as a result of the aggravation of the situation in the coal industry due to the general economic depression.
