We cannot conceive of any other reasons being put forward for the introdUction of this measure than those that have been urged whenever the matter has been dicussed during the last 55 years ; and if we are to believe the official statements of the Government of India as to the material and moral progress made in the state of the people and ir we are to take as correct the assurances of the auth [...] The agreement was one limited both as to time' and space: The terms of the agreement in which there was nothing unreasonable or contrary to public policy disclosed that the Association had an interest in the proper discharge of the terms of the covenant. [...] On the 19th May 1899 the said Court on the ex parte application of the present Respondents granted a rule nisi calling upon the Petitioner to show cause why he should not be struck off the rolls or suspended from practice on the ground of alleged professional misconduct in swearing and filing the above seout affidavit for the purpose of insult and annoyance to one of the judges. [...] This was an appeal preferred on the 22nd of December 1898 against the order of the Officiating District Judge of Faridpore dated the 11th October 1898 affirming the order of the Munsif 1st Court of Bhanga dated the 12th September 1898. [...] That granting that an appeal lay to the District Judge from an order making the decree absolute as an appeal from order it would be useless in the circumstances of the case to send it back to the lower Appellate Court for the determination of the appeal as the appeal is bound to fail.
