On the abolition of the Master's office and the gradual transfer of his duties to the Registrar this latter office as also that of the Master's clerk assumed a proportionate importance and the designation of the latter came in course of time to be changed to that of the Second Assisant Registrar and the salary raised to Rs. [...] So on the establishment of the High Court it was thought at the time advisable that if the office of the Master was abolished and the number of Judges on the Original Side increased they would be able to atteneUto the quasi-judicial duties of the Master and the office duties alone might be left to the Registrar. [...] A substantial retrenchment was effected by transferring the duties of the Taxing Officer the Accountant General the 'Keeper of Records the Sealeand the Clerk of the Crown to the Prothonotary. [...] On appeal to the District Judge of Faridpur that officer on the 28th of February 1899 confirmed the order of the Munsti and dismissed the appeal on the ground that the point raised before him vL. [...] Held—That as between the decree-holder and judment-debtor the question of the saleability or othewise of an occupancy holding is a question arising between the parties to the suit and relates to the execution of the decree and that it can be determined in the execution proceedings under sec.
