The Lord Chief Justice of England recently and not for the first time gave public expression to his disapproval of the present system of legal education imparted to the students at the Inns of Court qualfying themselves for the Bar. [...] It had been the usual practice of the Court to act on the certficate of the Board there was no reason why the same proceeding should not be adopted in this case though no doubt there may be cases in whieh it would be expedient to summon and examine the chief officer ot the department in support of thBoard's view that the desired production Auld bprejudicial to the public service. [...] The allegation was that the Defendants had through.a relitive of Taffo who was an articled clerk in the Defendants' office induced Plaintiff to buy shares in those Companies in which they themselves were interested and which fact was not communicated to Plaintiff; that the intervention of the jobber in the two purchases was a mere matter of form the Defendants being the parsons who really made t [...] On the pleadings of the parties and the summing up of the Chief Justice the Jury found : —I. [...] The finding of the Jury that the clerk was not authorized by the Defendants to rcommend the shares was an item which must be considered with the other findings.
