Justice Rampini’s able exposition of the evils of the present system of filling in of the higher judicial offices by junior members of the Civil Service the matter surely deserves the serious attention of the Government of India. [...] In the case of a members' club the property of the club is vested in the trustees in tust to permit the members to have the personal use and enjoyment of the club premises and the effects of the club. [...] The question was whether the proper valuation of the suit for purposes of jurisdiction was to be the value of the entire property or the Plaintiff's share only. [...] Upon the facts so stated by the Magistrates the learned Judges unanimously held that the Magitrates were wrong and the Appellant Edmunson was not liable the only duty imposed on the consumer was to put the shilling into the box and not be negligent that was all that was contrActed to be done the argument for the CorporatioA that the money was placed in the box as security merely 166Yob. [...] The Copany contended that the gift was invalid tinder the first-named Act because there had not been any delivery or transfer of the goods to the claimant and it was invalid under the Bankruptcy Act because at the time of the gift the Prince was insolvent.
