THE VEXED QUESTION AS TO WHETHER THE PRvious sanction of the Governor-General is not necessary in view of the amendment proposed to the general penal law of the country does not seem to have yet been solved. [...] In the former case it is simply impossible to ascertain with any precision what rent the raiyat is paying for any specific lands which are comprised in the holding of any one of the under-raiyats and in the latter the rent payable by the under-raiyat cannot be ascertained with reference to the rent paid by his landlord because the. C. by the Plaintiffs as members of a body known as the Zoroastrian against the Defendants who were the trustees of the funds and immoveable properties of the Parsi Pachayat ; held that the Trustees and Mortgagees Powers Act XXVIII of i886 does not apply to charitable Trusts; since the Indian Trusts Abet was made applicable to the Bombay Presidency in 1891 sec.
