Justica in the case of Rajendra Mnain Singh is a very sound and well-balanced pronounceInent which shows clearly how the requirements of the law. had been overlooked by the District and the Sub-Divisional Magis' races in this case. [...] The fact that only three cases of no particular gravi-y all of which had been compromised were made the basis of fresh prceedings goes also to strengthen the conclusion that the criminal law had been improperly set in rn)ti on against a proprietor for compelling him to accept offi:ial control over the management of his estate. [...] In fact in a4.ezpting to protect the tenants against alleged act?‘ of oppression by zemindars the acts of the officers concerned against the latter amounted to no better. [...] The amendment.extends the applica-- tion of the Indian Divorce Act to all Christians provided they were Christians at the date of the occurrence on which the application is based. [...] On this point we live grave doubts no from the point of view of Hindu law or Hinds society which has no manner of interest in the change but from the point of view of the legal position of Christian converts of both sexes with referPnce to *heir marital relation.
