When the learned judges were on the whole of opinion that the articles in question did not purport to pronounce any opinion as to the guilt or innocence of the accused and were not likely to taint the evidence or defeat the ends of justice in any manner the printer and publisher of the same could not surely be punised for contempt. [...] In 1895 B a judgment-creditor of M attached the right title and interest of the latter in certain securities for money held by the Receiver in a suit for the aministration of the estate of the father of the judgmendebtor. [...] The Plaintiff prayed for a declaration that the property to tIle extent of the interest of M at the date of the several attachments was liable to be attached and sold in execution of the Plaintiff's decree. [...] The learned Judge gave judgment for the Plaintiff and found that the Defendants were negligent in dealing with the Plaintiff's cheques an that the Plaintiff did not ratify the acts of his agent ; nor had the Defendants proved facts which entitled them to say that the Plaintiff was estopped from repudiating the authority of his agent. [...] The words of the statute were 'six years next after the cause of such action or suit." Now the day on which the debtor's time for paying expired which it did at the end of that day was in his op-:nion the date on which the cause of action arose and at the end of it an action could be brought and that day was the first of all the days in the six years.
