1915

It is reported in the columns of our legal contemporary of the English Law Journal that the Lord Chief Justice of England at the sudden termination of the Kuepferle spy trial made some very appropriate observations as to the functions of the Bar in connection with the defence in such trials. [...] Dew with the knowledge and by the desire of the Respondents to sell to the latter on the terms cif the contract of 2nd Janary 1912. [...] They applied in the Court of the Munsif of Madhubani for execution of the decree on the 30th August 1913 against the judgmendebtors Bunshi Sahu and ors. [...] 170 Bengal Tenancy Act." The learned Munsif accordingly overruled the objetion of the decree-holder that the Applicant being a purchaser of a portion of a non-transferable occupancy holding had no locus standi to deposit the decretal amount and allowed the Applicant to deposit the money and dismissed the execution case. [...] He suggests it was terminated by the disclaimer and gives the date of the withdrawal of the rent suit as the date of his cause of action.
