The misapplication of Darwin's theory of the survival of the fittest to the evolution of human society would have been treated by the ancient Hindu philosophers who were the first propounders of the theory of evolution with scant courtesy because the most important differentiating factor between the animal kingdom and mankind lies in the evolution amongst the latter of a superior moral sense. [...] The same number of the Law Quarterly liar view contains a very spirited criticism of the " Method of Jurisprudence of the English school by Mr. [...] The province of the science of lam according to one of the latest eponents of this view (Professor W. Jethro Brown) is to be confined to the body of laws which exist by will of the State. [...] The Plaintiff sued to recover from the Dfendant in the form of rent paid to the Defenant through the Court under a decree entitling the Defendant to receive such rent as against the tenants but in respect of propertrof which the Plaintiff was entitled to the possession ar4 also to the receipt of the rents. [...] hope the book will be widely read and at least those parts of it which try to analyse the judicial mind the mind of the proSeCutor of the parties of legal practitioners and of legislators without resentment.
