[...] For fortthree years you have been a member of one or other branch of the legislature ; for thirty-five years you have held the office of a Judge and you now possess not through age and experience alone a position in the esteem and affection of every member of the profession whether on the Bench or at the Bar which is wholly unexampled. [...] There is a want of training in the methods of interpretation of Hindu law and -almost al-1 "l'sVh1t("va"t of knowledge' of the authoritative rules of interpretation. [...] The widow on coming of age made a petition to the District Judge alleging that her deceased father-in-law had realized and appropriated all the money due to her late nuband and she wanted to recover the money from her husnand's brother and from the :aineties and she asked the District Judge to assign the surety-bond to her.
