The numerous consderations mentioned by the writer in the Harvard Law Review have had no effect upon the tendency of the Courts here to trench upon the province of the legislature for the purpose of restricting; the liability to action of the Government of India sanctioned as it has been by the British Parliament (Ibid. The texts speak of the husband's kinsmen and the words " paternal uncles " in the text of Brihaspati where the paternal uncles of the husband of the widow are spoken of' have been interpreted to mean the sapindas of her huband. [...] The Respondent represented the interest of the Marwar Bank in liquidation and the quetion for decision was as to the construction of a contract of guarantee. [...] During the pendency of the case the complainant and his son who were near relatives of all the accused wanted to corpound the case but the Magistrate did not allow them to do so and convicted all the accused as stated above.
