Mukerjeo is in the prime of his life though he has already put in more than twenty-five years' practice during the greater part of which he has been one of the leading practitioners on the Crimnal Appellate Side of the Calcutta High Court and latterly the leader of the bar on that side. [...] Amonst the tributes paid to him by the J ench and the Bar on the eve of the closing of the Courts for the Chrismas holidays that fr' nl his Lordship. [...] and that you maintain the highest dignity and noblest tradition of the profession to which we all blong for I am firmly convinced that the function of this Court as the potent instrument for the administration of justice amongst the people of this land can be completely fulfilled only with the aid of a learned independent and respectable legal profession. [...] A ' dispute relating to the common boundary of the lands belonging to the Appellant and the Respondenrt respectively *as ref~ared to the arbitration of three persons named in the deed of reference which was duly stamped under Art. [...] The Respondent thereafter instituted a suit for the recovery of the same ignoring the award and the Respondent filed a cross suit to enforce the award.
