Elsewhere in this issue the rules recently framed by the High Court to govern the admision of the pleaders to practise in Courts suordinate to itself have been examined in detail but the matter being one of great importance we notice in brief the main points of the criticism. [...] Only the other day a Full Eanch of seven Judges including Sir Cecil Walsh the Acting Chief Justice of our High Court was constituted to consider the true meaning and scope of this decision but the consideration was deferred till the 31st March 1927 in - view of the information that the legislature is going to introduce a Bill in the erFuing session of the Assembly. [...] In other expressi4n a contract for the sale of immoveable property creates an equitable estate in the subjecmatter of the contract in favour of the vendee and makes the vendor a mere trustee for the vendee. [...] The legal estate remains in the vendor till the execution of the conveyance as a security for the payment of the purchasmoney. [...] When instead of paying the whole of his purchase-mOney he pays a part of it it would seem to follow as a necessary corollary that to the extent to which he hi.s paid the purchase-money the vendor is a trustee for him; in other words that he acquires a lien exactly ir hie same way as if upon the payment of the part of the puchase-money the vendor Ind executed a morgage to him - of the est
