In India we find that the chief difficulty in framing a working constitution lies in the fact that the communal and the religious spirit which is quite out of place in the affairs of State is still in the ascendant and is hampering the growth of a true civic. [...] It is also from the same point of view that the Canadian Provinces are not in favour of ousting the jurisdiction of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council although the Canadian Parliament has the power to do so. [...] This is what the learned Professor says in his note in the Journal referred to above:- " The acceleration of the despatch of the Statutory Commission cannot be regarded as unconnected with the problem of defence presented to the Imperial and the Indian Governments by the recommendations of the Skeen Committee (Indian Sandhurst Committee Report 14th November 1926) in favour of the Indianization of [...] S Effected a policy of insurance on his life; and the material portion of the policy ran as follows :— Upon proof to the satifaction of the office committee of the society of the death of the insured and the title to the policy the society will "pay to Srimati Pramila Bala Dasi wife of the insured the sum of Rs. [...] B.) Held—That money due on a volley of life insurance payable to the wife of the isured after his death forms part of the esta:e of the insured and no trust is created in favour of the wife by the contract wherby the insured nominates his wife as the beneficiary after his death.
