Those who are constantly comparing the past with the present to the disadvantage of the latter will find some difficulty in upholding the pre-eminence of the “good old days” —at any rate with regard to the treatment of the young offender. [...] The only limitation to the right of the accused is that if the Court is of opinion that any part of such statement is not relevant to the subjecmatter of the enquiry or trial or that its diclosure to the accused is not essential in the interests of justice it shall record such opnion and shall exclude such part from the copy of the statement furnished to the accused. [...] Whether a co-sharer tenant can under the provisions of the Bengal Tenancy Act claim exemption from payment of rent on the diluviation of the entire land of the tenancy in a suit for the entire rent of the tenure or holding brought by a sole lanlord or the entire body of the landlords against one or some of the co-sharer teants? [...] Therfore if under the present state of the law a co-sharer tenant is to be precluded from claiming exemption from rent on the ground of the extinction of the entire area of the tenancy then the effect will be to open the door of fraud to dishonest landlords who in cases of entire diluvion of the land of the tenancy will manage the situation by delberately leaving some of the tenants out [...] (12) of the Letters Patent of the High Court the High Court could appoint such a guardian: Held (per BOYS AND IQBAL AHMAD JJ.)- That the High Court or the District Court would not appoint a guardian in the case of a joint Hindu family under the powers coferred by the Guardians and Warcs Act and that the High Court although it has power to appoint a guardian in the case of infants by virtue of
