Justice Lort-Williams expressed his apreciation of the tact and ingenuity displaed by the police in the preparation of the case and added that the facts before him enowed the necessity for some 2elaxation of the limitations in the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code as to statements befoi e police officers at least in Calcutta.
