XXXV the denial of the right of secession to any of the Dominions without the consent of the other Parliaments of the Empire. [...] Our correspondent refers to the technical basis of the liability of co-partners which is to be found in the law of agency and complains that since the Indian Law makes only knowledge of the termination of the tenancy a bar to third patties recovering out of the estate of the agent the absence of a similar condition in sec. [...] The main provisions of the Act are as fot lows :- (1) The Act has embodied the principle that whether a contract for the sale of goods does or does not pass the property in the goods from the seller to the buyer must always be determined by the intention of the parties—the intention to be gathered from the terms of the contract the conduct of the parties and the circumstances of thcase (see. [...] The law which regulates the liability of partners for the acts of their co-partners is a branch of the law of agency and the setion of the English Act is based upon the principle that by the law of England the authority of an agent is determined by the death of the principal whelher the fact of death is known or not. [...] After the death of the widow of D-S and two daughters the other two daughters brought the present suit for the recovery of the property of D-S on the allegation that they had succeeded to the estate by right of survivorship.
