(i) of Rule (20) of the Rules framed by the High Court says :— On the expiry of three Years from the date of the first meeting of the Bar Council and annually at the further expiry of one year from the said date one half of the elected members of the Bar Council shall go out of office." The nuber of elected members is ten and so accoring to this rule only five vacancies will occur and that [...] 5 (2) of the Act one finds the provision that " the terms of.;'fire of the nominated and elected members of any such first Bar Council shall be three ye«n; from the date of the firs 'meeting of the Council." The words used are clear and unambiguous: the term of the elected mebers of the first Bar Council shall be three years and no more. [...] The relevancy of that case to the point at issue in Kalipada Mukherfi is not very apparent but the rference to the case being common to our report and the report published in the I. L. R. Calcutta it must have occurred in the original transcript of the judgment. [...] knowledge of the classical institutes of Hindu law or the various commentaries thereon have so interpreted and applied the personal law of the Hindus as has gone generally to meet the approval of eminent Sanskrit scholars and jurists as also of the general public who are governed by such laws. [...] 10 000 or more in value the refusal to direct the Commissioner of Income Tax to state case to the High Court on the ground that no question of law is involved gives the applicant an appeal to the Privy Council as of right.
