With reference to the note published in our last issue about the report of the above case we have been informed by the Private Secretary to the Hon’ble the Chief Justice that the reference to In the matter of Gooptu Estates was a mistake in the transcript of the judgment and has now been corrected. [...] Sir Theodore Morison has contributed an article on the Hindu-Moslem Problem of Idia in the June number of the Contemporary Review in which he advances the rather novel view that the Hindus and Moslems of India are two different nationalities and the communal problem of India is not national but international. [...] The fusion of such culture commenced in the Court of the Great Akbar and Sir Theodore Morison will do well to study its influence and progress during the best days of the Moghul Empire. [...] Charity toleration and kindliness of feeling between the two communities was the order of the day and so was a mutual regard for the religious faith and the social customs of each. [...] If the transferor is really and in fact idebted to the transferee the mere fact that the parties are related to each other or the circumstance that the transfer had the effect of giving one creditor preference over the other will not make the transfer fraudlent.
