It is a body of rules the object of which is to protect the interests of the existent; order. [...] The above in brief is Professor Laski’s position which he supports by reference to the history of the Debtors’ Act the Wormen’s Compensation Act and the Poor. [...] The printed paper book in these appeals now consists of the judments of the two lower Courts and the Memorandum of Appeal to the High Court only. [...] The pleadings of the parties have ceased to be printed since the framing of the new Rules in 1920. [...] At the latter page the first Legal Practitioners Act of 1846 is reached and the rest of the book is more an analysis of the successive Acts passed by the Legislature than a historical account of the Indian Bar.
