Among decisions by the other Benches the most important was that which held that the -3urisdiction exercised by the Court of Wards was a sovereign act and consequently no suit lay against the Secretary of State by a proprietor for maladminitration of his estate by the Court of Wards manager. [...] The Appellant contended that he was entitled to payment from the estate of the testator inasmuch as he was entitled to a lien on that property as having been recoveed for the insolvent by his exertions in the probate litigation: Held (BEASLEY C.
