The shocking accident in the city the other day by which a young swimmer of great repute lost his life prematurely ephasises the urgent need of stiffening the traffic laws of the country. [...] There is in the Penal Code that inconvenient word negligent " ; and in the Motor Vehicles Act there is a further phrase " having regard to all the circumstances of the case including the nature condition and use of the place and the amount of traffic which actually is at the time or which might reasonably he expected to be in the place." In view of these words and phrases and the crowd of [...] (1 ) the landlords are entitled to apply for pre-emption within two months of the service of notice of the sale by the tenant and not within two months of the sale. [...] If abusiVe language is used intentionally and is of such a nature as would in the ordinary course of events lead the person insulted to break the peace or to commit aother offence under the law the case shall not be taken out of the purview of sec. [...] Where in a document which recited that a certain plot of land had been sold to the recipient of the document by the executant and purported to grant a receipt for a cetain sum of money out of the entire purchase money paid the balance remaining outstaning and the document was stamped with an one-anna stamp: Held (TEKCHAND ABDUL QUADER and BHIDE JJ.)—That the document was not a conveyance a
