Of them one concerns the right of appeal and the other the limits up to which the public may safely go in criticising acts done in the seat of justice. [...] Occasions may never arise to make an actual use of this privilege yet the potetial possibility of an appeal cannot fail to have some effect as a safe-guard while on the part of the press or the public the knowledge that the word of the prosecutor * 39 C. W. N. cliff. [...] cvii the interest of the life and health of the judicial syttem the acts of the Judge--; should be the objects of constant watchfulness by all and their judgments subject to the freest criticism. [...] The same principles are laid downin the present case by the Judicial Committee with the necessary qualification that the criticism must not be intemperate or malicious; and it must be )leasing to journalists that in giving their reasons for the exhaustiveness of the judgment their Lordships say that they have expressed themselves at some length as the matter cocerns the liberty of the press. [...] (1) of the rule where a decree has been passed jointly in favour of two persons one may apply for the execution of the decree for the benefit of the two but he cannot apply for execution of the decree fothe benefit of himself.
