It seems to us that having rgard to the limited character of the items in respect of which the Provincial Legislture is empowered to impose taxes and the sources of income to which the Finance Act is rightly confined the yield from the Act if it is honestly applied will be anything but substantial. [...] Sometime ago we made the suggestion that the Explanations " sent by Magistrates in answer to Rules should be made available to Advocates when they inspect the record in the Criminal Section of the Office and not merely when the case is on the Daily List and the records are before the Bench. [...] The result is that the greatest inconvenience is felt in refering the Hon'ble Judges to any particular passage in any particular document and a considerable time is wasted in locating the passage whether the Advocate calls to it the attention of the Judges or the Judges call to it the attention of the Advocate. [...] All this inconvenience can be avoided and much time saved if a copy of the brief prepared for the use of the Court is given to the Advocate for the accused just as a copy is given to the Advcate for the Crown. [...] When an Appellant dies and some only of the legal representatives of the Appellant are substituted within the time allowed by law and an application is made for the sustitution of the other legal representatives beyond time the appeal does not abate and all the legal representatives should be brought on the record.
