That these figures are intended to represent the real value of the incumbent and not merely the financial limit to which the resources of the State permit it to go is shown by the provision that the salary of the puisne Judges would be Rs. [...] Uder that method the Judge not knowing the purpose for which the case is cited nor the passage which is sought to be relied on has to read the case from the beginning to the end; and then when his perusal is over the Advocate has necessarily to explain what the judgment as he reads it lays down with the Judge returning again and again to portions of the judgment in order to test the sound [...] The framers of the rule contemplated that the justice of the case might require a further extension of time and that being so the Court was expressly granted the power to grant such extension in spite of the mandatory words contained in r. 7 of Or. [...] The lower Court refused to record the alleged comprmise on the ground that the compromise was of a date subsequent to the final decree in the suit and therefore as r. 4 of Or. [...] If the minor elects not to proceed with the suit he can only do so on submitting to an order to pay the costs of the Defendant and also of the costs of the next friend.
