The goods for which the cheque is issued are to be delivered now in the shape of participation in the war effort but the cheque is encashable only after the temination of the war. [...] Even the right to secede is conceded and the other ticklish question as to whether India will have the right to remain neutral in England's wars and whether the position will be different according as the war is aggressive or defesive will perhaps be solved in the same way as it has been in the case of some of the Dominions. [...] 105 of the Evidence Act in a case in which any general exception in the Penal Code is pleaded by an accused person and evidence is adduced to support such plea but such evidence fails to satisfy the Court affirmatively of the existence of cicumstances bringing the case within the general exception pleaded the accused peson is entitled to be acquitted if upon a cosideration of the evide [...] The Mahomedan law while puting an obligation on the father to maitain his children gives with it a right to the father to keep the children in his house unless according to the law governing the parties some other person is the lawful guardian of the person of the child. [...] The expression absolute right " found in the text book in connection with the daughter's right to maintenance should be read as indicated above and not as giving to the daughter an unrestricted right to live as and where she liked and imposing an obligation on the father to provide separate maintenance for her even though he may be willing to keep her in the house and maitain her there.
