Having regard to the early day-break during the Summer months and the temperature we think that retention of 11 o'clock as the hour of comencement of the day’s work will cause serious inconvenience and maladjustment. [...] The author tries to examine the relationship of the States with the Paramount Power and is of opinion that they should accede to the Federation in their own interest. [...] The liquidator himself made certain calls without the intervention of the Court: Held (BRAUND J.)—That the liquidator had no power to make a call himself without the intervention of the Court. [...] But when the debt due to the Company is in respect of calls the set off is never available to the contribtory. [...] The Court is not in the least concerned with what he wants it for and the Court has not even the jurisdiction to ask the liquidator what he wants it for and still less to withold the payment of it from him.
