The Calcutta Weekly Notes Monday August 23 1943

1943

We have so long continued to supply the paper at the old rates at considerable loss to ourselves and in spite of the growing volume of Federal Court decisions we have continued find room for them in the body of the paper. [...] And if room is to be found for all the Federal Court decisions in the normal issues a great many of the reportable decisions of the High Court will have to be excluded. [...] The Calcutta Weekly Notes has maintained all its features and it may reasonably claim to have continued with undiminished effciency its service of promptly bringing to its subscribers all decisions of the Privy Council and the Federal Court all important decisions of the Calcutta High Court and the substance of important decisions of other High Courts. [...] The offices of the Court on the Original Side will (subject to further orders) be closed for general business for the Long Vacation on and from Friday the 17th Setember to Thursday the 4th November 1943 both days inclusive. [...] Notice as to the days on which the Vaction Bench will sit for the hearing of motions and cases in which Advocates are engaged and as to the distribution of business will be given from time to time.
