He was the seventh descendant of Manickram Bose of Manickram Bose’s Ghat Road being a son of the late Umacharan Bose and a grandson of the late Shyama Charan Bose Inspector of Schools Eastern Circle. [...] Perhaps the most remarkable characteristic of his professional work was the industry he bestowed on the preparation of cases and the thoroughness with which he prepared them. [...] On Monday the 5th March before commencing the work of the day the Hon'ible the Chief Justice rho was sitting on a Special Bench made a reference to the death of Mr. [...] On behalf of the Bar the Advocate-General associated himself with the tribute paid by the Honlble the Chief Justice to th.4 memory of Mr. [...] His case was that he made these costructions under a covenant in the mortgage-deed entitling him to make the constructions and recover the cost thereof at the time of redemtion : Held (VERNIA and YORKE JJ.)—That the covenant did not amount to a clog on the equity of redemption.
