With no evition to f ear and no rent to pay the house would merrily continue as a house of ill-frame under the very nose of the police. [...] The income-tax authorities held that the filing elf the first return on the basis of the annual icome was an exercise of the option and the assessee could not be allowed to exercise his option twice: Held (Special Bench: FAzi ALT C. J. MANOHAR LALL and SINHA JJ.)—That the first return could not be said to be an exercise of the option and the assessee had the right to insist on being assesse [...] Rules the Legislature intended to prohibit the transfer of current coin for other current coins of an aggregate value which is less than the value on the face of it of the coin transferred.
