107 of the Goverment of India Act as the impugned Act was wholly within the Provincial List and did not require the support of the Concurent List at all. [...] As to the provsions in the Act excluding the juridiction of Civil Courts and giving power to the Collector to give relief to a morgagor their Lcrdships held that the matter is covered by Item 2 the Provincial List. [...] The Attlee *Declaration of February 20 1947 was made because imperialism was compelled by the pressure of India's freedom movement and by the growing impact of world public opinion to offer a gesture of benevolence and to hope to retain by hook if not by crook some of the advantages which imperialism esures to the ruling class of the metrpolitan country. [...] So reports appear in the papers one day to the effect that Lord Mountbatten is in complete agreement with the Congreqa point of view in regard to the shape of things to come. [...] Where the husband has got a decree for restitution of conjugal right but the wife refuses to go to the house of the husband the wife is not entitled to a decree for dissolution even though the husband does not pay her separate maintenance.
