The gravamen of the allegations against the Ministry was that they had unjustifiably interfered with the work of the Enforcement Branch of the. Police. [...] We think that the illustration was an apt one because on Saturday (March 19 1949) morning a large number of people in Cacutta and elsewere when they read the report of the proceedings of the Assembly of the previous day rubbed their eyes and there were discussions here and there as to the possible foundation of the charges made against the Ministry and whether there was any vestige of truth [...] How Maulvi Hashem and his supporters of the Muslim League in the Assembly could lay their hands on the confidential files of the Government and indulge in the display of the all but fogotten League technique with so much fanfare on the floor of the House full of distinguished legislators and visitors is beyond our comprehension. [...] A perusal of the whole of the Hon'ble Judicial Minister's speech on March 22 1949 will remove any doubt which may have lingered in the public rrind as to the fairness of the Ministers in the matter of administration of the Province. [...] 41 r. 22 of the Code of Civil Procedure do not survive the abatement of appeal consequent on the death of the Appellant even though the cross-objector has brought the heirs of the Appellant on the record for the purpose of his crosobjections.
