On receipt of the reference from the Governor-General the Federal Court directed that the Governor-General should serve a copy of the charges on the Respondent who was called upon to file his reply within a specified time. [...] The inquiry was held in camera in view of the allegations made in the affidavits and the circumstances of the case. [...] The Governor-General can not be any party to the proceedings and can not be interested in the result of the inquiry ss the supreme Sovereign authority in the land. [...] Justice Sinha who is an advocate of the Allahabad High Court an application in the Allahabad High Court for the transfer of the suit from the Court of the Civil Judge Gorapur to the Court of the District Judge of that place and for stay of all proceedings and for an injunction against the commisioners appointed to make the inventory restraining them from taking any furthe.r proceedings t [...] The application for transfer to the District Court was characterised by Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmad as a gross abuse of the process of the Court and the appliction for transfer made in the High Court was characterised to be as frivolous as the application for transfer to the District Court.
