7. Amendment of Article 87.—In Article 87 of the Constitution — (1) in clause (1) for the words “every session” the words “the first session after each general election to the House of the People and at the commencement of the first. [...] (1) for the words on the ground of default in payment of arrears of rent under the provisions " the following shall be substituted namely:— " on the ground that the interest of the tenant in such premises has been ipso facto determined under the provisions of sub-sec. [...] (5) for the words "on the ground of default in payment of arrears of rent under the provisions " the following shall be substituted namely :— on the ground that the interest of the tenant in such premises has been ipso facto determined tinder the provisions o f sill. [...] What was the law's loss has however been the country's gain and to-day we are proud that a lawyer and a Calcutta-trained lawyer at that is President of the Indian Republic Some of the remarks of the President replying to the address of welcome related to the work of the I HO Court in interpreing the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution. [...] 251 of the Constitution provides that “if any provision of a law made by the Legislature of a State is repugnant to any provision of a law made by Parliament which Parliament has power to make the law made by Parliament whether pased before or after the law made by the Legislature of a State shall prevail and the law made by the Legislature of the State shall to the extent of the repugnancy
