Of the consultative body the opinion of the Chief Justice of the High Court would undoubtedly be of great assisance to the President while appointing a person a Judge of the High Court. [...] One of the four was returned to the House of the People defeating redoubtable rivals and the other three elected to the West Bengal Assembly had impressive majorities over Congress competitors including notably the Maharajadhiraja of Burdwan in the latter's home consttuency. [...] The order of the Authority having been challenged in the High Court Held —that the contract of emploment having remained in force and the relationship of master and servant having subsisted during the priod of suspension the employee 'was entitled to his full wages without any deductions and without any delay during such period as under secs. [...] (As continued from previous issue.) or clause (d) of sub-section (1) of setion 20 of the Calcutta Municipal Act 1923 who did not apply to the Registeing Authority in the prescribed form within the time specified in the notice issued by the Registering Authority uder Rule 6 of the Rules for the Prepration and publication of the Electoral Roll are debarred from preferring claiims befo [...] It.shall be published in the constituency together with a notice spcifying the mode in which aid the time within which any person whose name is not entered in the roll and who claims to have it inserted -therein may prefer a claim....to the revising athority."
