Chief Justice Wanchoo has been the choice of the Prime Minister obviously because the Prime Minister was satisfied with the admnistrative experience of the Chief Justice of Rajasthan. [...] 219 states that every person appointed a Judge of a High Court shall subscribe on oath or affirmtion according to the form which states that I will duly and faithfully and to the best of my ability knowledge and judgment perform the duties of my office without fear or favour affection or ill-will and that I shall uphold the Constitution and the laws. [...] Is there any provision in the Constitution justifying engagment of High Court Judges to do sundry work of administration ? Can you ask a Judge to work as the head of an educational institution for some time because the percentage of passes in the examination was low ? A malicious and cynical executive head might console himself with the thought that all servants of the Govoment might be ask [...] The High Court examined for itself the evidence relating to the nature of the loan and reversed the decision of the lower court. [...] The difference between the High Court and the Supreme Court on the requirements of justice" need cause no surprise.
