; The Advocate-General of Bombay appearing on behalf of the appellants took strong eception to the manner in which the learned Judges below disposed of the objection to the maintainability of the petition. [...] The quarrel between the Judges and the Legislature in South Africa over the Coloured Voters' list is no less interesing—at least to the lawyer in India. [...] The Statute of Westna-inister made the Colonial Laws Validity Act iapplicable to South Africa and the quetion before\ the Supreme Court had to he decided on the basis that the South African legislature was a Sovereign legislature. [...] The leader of the opposition protested against the procedure but was overruled by the Speaker. [...] The High Court of Parliament was set up by an Act passed in the ordinary way by the Malan Government obviously to get over the decision of the Harris case.
