In noticing the death of Bertillon the English Law Journal in an appreciative note notices how the researches of the illustrious deceased directed the attention of criminologists to the identifiction of criminals. [...] The author takes note as every one must of the well-known fact that the end of society in Ancient Hindu India was the promotion of dharma or the moral order of the universe. [...] The result of this was the development of a comprehensive idea of law which is the dream and perhaps the despair of the sociological school of modern philosophical jurists."
