For the rest of the year the work of the Entomological section was carried on by Mr. [...] I think much good may be expected from the spreaiing of the idea that the authorities frown on a complete ign)rance of the agriculture of the stpdent's own part of the country. [...] I have no remarks to make on the subject of the teaching in the agricultural group other than the systematiing of the teaching in the subject of agricultural machinery and implements. [...] Orders have been issued for the planting of a row of Eucalyptus trees along the back of the hostel on the side of the gas works in an attempt to make the outlook more agricultural and rural and less industrial. [...] (A) Nutritive value of the common grasses-- Analyses of the mineral contents of the grasses grown in the area of the Second Economic Botanist and of those grown in Telinkheri were carried out.
