[...] The system consists in the examination by the school doctor issue of advice cards to the parents talks to the students at the time of examintion issue of lists of physical defects to school authorities with a request to check the progress of treatments given the primary purpose being prevention of remediable defects and correction of defects noticed. [...] A note on the working of this scheme was supplied on request to the Governments of Bombay and Bihar the Directors of Public Health of Punjab and Bihar the Assistant Director of Public Health Madras and Hyderabad the State Surgeon Barwani State and to the Sanitary Commissioner of Baroda State. [...] On the recommendation of the Director of Public Health the Government approved of the Superintendent Bureau of Vital Statistics serving as a Member of the Sub-Commitee of the National Planning Committee.
