Dated Bankipore the 9th Ivly 1919: SIR I AM directed to submit for the information of Government and for favour of submission to the Government of India a copy of the Report on the Maritime Trade of Bihar and Orissa for the year 1918-19. [...] I HAVE the honour to submit the following report on the administrtion of the Customs Department of this Division during the dear 1918-19 including the report on the working of the Merchandise Marks Act. [...] and of the value of the import and export trade of the year. [...] 6. Shipping.—Statement D compares the statistics of the shipping and the value of the trade of the three ports for the past ten years. [...] The Customs office at Cuttack Sadr was inspected twice by the Deputy Collector in charge on the 14th October 1918 and on the 11th March 1919 The Balasore Customs office was inspected by me in July and by the Collector and the Deputy Collector of Customs in September last.
